For our to , , , , , and , I've created a chat room where we're posting of our trip.
We've sent links to join that room 2 weeks upfront to our family and friends. So whoever is interested, may get our frequent updates with lots of .
We limited posting permissions to ourselves, others may react with emoticons. Anybody can mute notifications to keep distraction level low. The content will self-destruct in a month so that storage gets cleared again.
I do think that this is a very elegant solution to keep interested people up to date without annoying anybody.
Best part: we don't need to tell all the stories (half of them might be forgotten until then) or show pictures afterwards.

Well to combat that, I made a list and didn't forget anything On the list, however I did forget to put deodorant and cash on that list. Latter won't cause any problems, its just estate sale money that I should've banked a month ago, but didn't because this trip was coming up, I don't need it, but it'd've been nice to have. Deodorant is obvious why that's a problem Hmm, wonder if'n I can find an Ollies between here and Huntsville
Only other problem we're having is a hyperactive touchpad on this laptop, wonder if'n there's a way to fix that in Linux, it isn't an option in the Mint touchpad settings panel

Well, at the first stop of the trip. As mentioned on my blog, i screwed up and forgot to plug in last night, so the car wasn't ready until almost 1400. No real matter, this is a very casual loosely planned trip, so really the only effect is that i'll prolly only get to Kentucky, and just drive more tomorrow. Heck, i may wander off for site seeing or to work during it, who lnows, i don't, but Who might.
Charging with Ionna is interesting, no app is required as its a partnership between something like a half dozen automakers, and if your car isn't part of it, yhey've even partnered up with some of the other charging networks. This one is at a Circle K, and somewhat oddly doesn't have a canopy, but that seems to be standard for the Circle K partnership sites.
We're also whipping up a few Loops along the way, a trip beginning and a quick review of thos charging station so far, though only one has been uploaded so far, just check my channel.

Ok, time for a state of the state post, today, whatever
Not much going on here, work is humming along, I've gone back to full service because it cooled down And then went heat wave again, joygasm, today hit 101F, despite not being forecast that high.
Going on a big trip Thurs, Huntsville, Myrtle Beach and finally Lancaster. Lancaster is the big one, I'll be there for prolly a week give or take, going to be looking at tiny homes, possibly land, getting the car repaired (can't get it fixed in STL), site seeing, at least one historic railroad, possibly two, and not sure aside from hanging out with my family.
I'll be working tomorrow, chiro Thurs morning, and then leaving when I'm finally done packing. I need to do laundry tomorrow night, also need to dust off the old unfinished media computer and rip some CDs for songs to add to a special playlist. Also have to resurrect my old phone as a music player as all I can find here are two Ruiz phones tMP3 players that have some how managed to screw up Bluetooth, and a few iPods which won't work with Linux much to my surprise, I remember when you could just treat them as an HD connected to the computer, but not any more. I'm sure I* have more music players, but I can't find them. Need to see if'n my brother in law would like some shirts, and my sister would like some beads for her or her friends, the clothes are too small for me, and the beads won't work for what I have in mind as they hole in them is too small.
I'll be posting videos at , not sure how often, two the first day for sure, a launch video, and a charger review, as the Circle K I always stop at in
Benton is now an Ionna , as they have a partnership. This is good, last time I used it, the screens didn't work, but the dispensers did, you just had to rely on the app. Oh, and as a Chevy owner I get a discount at Ionna,, also have EVGo credits, so that'll be being used on the trip too, along with some gift cards I"d found while cleaning up my husband's desks, and cash from selling his electric bike. Beyond that, we'll be relying on a credit card with investment rewards, so if'n I gotta spend money, at least I can get something back, along with a better interest rater than any other card I have or get offered.
