this track is one of those cases where I started out with an idea - in this case, to compose something vaguely trip-hop-sounding - and the composition almost immediately began to go off the rails. you can still hear a bit of the Massive Attack and Hooverphonic influence in the drum and bass loop, but the end result is more like if an androgynous Mike Doughty recited a poem over a slightly fucked up IDM track. (upon reconsideration, I guess that's just El Oso, except with more genderfuckiness.)
