Reflection: I remember, quite vividly, trekking up these mountains and finding endless stretches of sea, shades of green Id never witnessed in my life, and a smattering of kind fellow-hikers (+ a crying kid who wanted to go home ages ago ). 15mins morning walk was bountiful: Red Squirrel, Woodpeckers, Nuthatch and nice woods. Wasn't quick enough to photo the birds. The suburbs of Dresden are a wildlife idyll.
