After all the preparation and bike maintenance in the prologue episode, the real adventure begins today. I leave my campsite in the Yorkshire Dales and head north to Kielder Forest but not without a few twists along the way.
A mission to find coffee turns into a ride through stunning scenery, I tackle a mountain pass (complete with a hairpin), explore a Roman fort on Hadrians Wall, and hit a closed road that sends me on a detour Ill never forget. And wouldn't you know it, at the end of my route there's a pub! Happy days.
Its a gentle start but one filled with beauty, history, and surprise."
